state of the blog: a look back at 2011

I thought it would be fun to share a little bit about how this blog grew in 2011… and if I do it again next year, I can compare! Woo!

   2011 saw a total of 42,135 visits (in 2010 we had  9,798)

   that consisted of 34,404 unique visitors (2010 saw 7,524)

   who took enough looks at the blog that we hosted 58,465 pageviews (in 2010 we had 14,924)

My visitors came from:

The photo page on Facebook has 944 friends, the RSS feed reaches 57 subscribers, Twitter has 525 followers…

This year was also the first time I posted a year in review in which I went back to look at my favorite images of  the year (take a look at both part one and part two!)
