iced coffees and a day at the boardwalk

Sam and I spent the day in Santa Cruz this weekend and the best way to sum it up is to say that it really was everything a summer day should be. We hung out on the beach, battled each other at Air Hockey in the arcade (final game record 2-2), and between the two of us finished an entire bag of kettle corn (dang that stuff is good!). When it got too hot, we ducked into a cute old cafe after scalding our feet on the sand to recover with some iced coffees. I’ll have bunches more photos later – I was totally smitten with the place’s blue napkins, well decorated walls, and lovely window view of the boarwalk.

My whole weekend was like this – lots of adventuring, fun, and even a cute wedding at the Oakland Zoo! – and I couldn’t be happier to have spent so much time with my best friend, shot as much as I did, and share in a very special day for two wonderful people very much in love.

If you’re still around tomorrow, I finally have my new computer (!!!) up and running and am slowly putting things back together, downloading programs, and so on (I had a harddrive crash+computer crash in nearly the same week! yikes!) and I’m excited to be able to start sharing images again. :)

In other news, I love summer.
