Jennifer! You rock! I am writing all of these down and will be trying one next time I am down there. I always get hungry… and breakfast is the best… and I can be picky sometimes haha. Yay! Thank you. :)
I normally eat breakfast at the Trailside Cafe (on the Monterey Recreation Trail) or The Wild Plum Cafe (near downtown Monterey). I also discovered that Cafe Trieste in downtown Monterey is good too They don’t have an extensive menu though. The Wild Plum is my favorite hands-down but their service is soooo slow (and pretty bad). If the food wasn’t as good as it is I wouldn’t even bother to go there. I’ve been told that the Red House Cafe in Pacific Grove is good too but I’ve never had breakfast there so I can’t offer any opinion on that place.

Yeah, that was pretty much my reaction. :( It was a bummer because the menu sounded amazing and the place was packed. part of the problem is that there’s not much else down there that’s not super touristy… Do you have any recommendations for things I should check out next time? I would love to try somewhere else! haha :)
I was thinking “that looks great but having been there myself it’s not that great”. they used to be really good until they got so well know around here.
