Sam and I went adventuring in the Marin Headlands on Monday for our Martin Luther King Jr. Day adventure. There really is nothing like fresh air and a beautiful view of the ocean and some healthy movement to make you feel great (and enjoy your day off!).
I’ve been working hard recently to get outside more. It’s the number one thing I miss while working full time – I’ve been spending more time outside on my lunchbreaks and more time outside on the weekends. I guess I didn’t realize how often I went out during the day before.
Also, when it’s dark in the evenings when I get home from work, I’ve been watching Downton Abbey (just finished Season One today).
If you’d like to recreate your own Marin Headlands hike, head out to Rodeo Beach (easy to get to from the East Bay, via the Richmond Bridge, or from the city, via the Golden Gate). We looked up a trail head before we left, but once we got there we forgot about it and just wandered. It’s a lovely area and the higher you go, the more ocean you can see. We even managed more than a glimpse of the Golden Gate Bridge. :)
Sorry, I guess I’m just rambling. // Are you watching? Do you go outside a lot?
