It was such an honor to head out to Palo Alto with the Agrawals for family photos in the green, springtime hills. We got gorgeous weather and these four were such fun to hang out with as the sun went down.
I actually know bits of this family fairly well by now – I’ve photographed Akansha TWICE previously and this was her third time in front of the camera. It’s always such an honor to work with people again and again. It means so much to me to see them grow over time, to get time to catch up, and to work with people who already trust me and are super comfortable in front of the camera. Fun!
As if that weren’t enough, I also happened to get to know her father once when I was photographing the offices where he worked at the time. So funny to have touched bases there, too! I’m fated to photograph these family photos… ;) haha!
We had plenty of time and the prettiest backdrop, so we made sure to get lots of different image combinations. Family photos with all four of you are wonderful, but it’s lovely to have ones with momma, dad, the siblings, and so on. I’m pretty sure we got every single permutation of family members that we could have here and I am SO glad we did!
It didn’t hurt that the location was so perfect… This park is a dream!
They’ve been married a long time and it’s wonderful.
Here’s a favorite! Akansha and her momma didn’t plan to sort of match. They just got dressed, came out and compared, and were pleasantly surprised. I love this look – they go together über well, but they aren’t wearing exactly the same thing. I also love that the whole family stayed away from the matching white shirt look and focused on wearing lovely things that are more personal to the four of them. I love the combination.
Akansha’s younger broker is at Stanford right now. As both Akansha and I are Cal grads, we gave him a little bit of trouble… ;)
Fave! It’s always a pleasure to get this beautiful lady in front of my camera!
And there we go! I loved working with this family in this absolutely gorgeous place. I hope these photos make momma happy for many years to come.
