Photographing Aimee and Ryan’s California Destination wedding was an absolute pleasure. These two have been together for a long time and their love is clear and simple. Their families, friends, and pups (!) were so excited to see them officially get married and it was a happy and relaxed day for all involved. :)
Let’s start with a few images of the beautiful property. A private residence in Oakdale, Aimee and Ryan got married on the property of a family friend. Everything about the space was perfect.
First, I met up with the ladies and got images of Aimee and her sisters and mother getting ready. I snuck in a few shots of her stunning gorgeous ring. ( I had the pleasure of photographing the stunning piece at Aimee and Ryan’s engagement session as well.) SO stunning! Gah. I love it.
And her stunning, sparkly, gorgeous shoes. Wow!
These images of Aimee and her family getting ready together make me so happy. Aimee and Ryan have five dogs, but only two are well enough behaved to be invited to the wedding. Doesn’t Ruby look like a real princess in her little dress? SO sweet.
Here are the guys getting ready. It was a hot day, so I had them get ready outside (just the final touches, I promise!). They looked great in their heather grey shirts.
Aimee and Ryan opted to have a first look before the wedding and see each other before they got up in front of their families to say their vows. I love this because it’s a private moment to get excited about the big day and also gives us extra time on their wedding day for photos.
Such a sweet moment.
Aimee’s flowers were incredible and really set the tone for the whole look and feel of the day. Breathtaking! And these portraits of Aimee and Ryan make me so happy.
Wow, am I right?! The back of her dress was SO incredible! Loved that train.
Some favorite portraits of Aimee looking so sweet and beautiful on her wedding day.
And that lovely little crown! It’s perfect.
By the time we got to the ceremony, everybody was excited and full of anticipation. Especially the pups! ;) haha. xo
Special thanks to Karen, my second shooter for the day, for the following image. I absolutely love working with her and her artistic eye completely rounds out the gallery. I’ve included a handful of her shots in this blog post because they are so beautiful!
It was so emotional watching Aimee’s parents walk her down the aisle to the love of her life.
So sweet. So much love.
Such a stunning back drop for a wedding.
Yay! Officially married!
I’m including a few of the family portraits that we took this day. I love spending time with families on a wedding day and portraits of parents and kids can be some of my favorite photos from the entire day. Even though they aren’t fancy, they are beautiful and they are important and they are full of love.
Look at that dreamy bridal party! So good looking, team!
Weddings are hard work… ;) haha
And handsome menfolk!
Aimee’s lovely sisters were her bridesmaids, which made for a ton of fun.
Aimee, looking happy, relaxed, and married!! xo
And, not to be missed, a few photos with the flower girl and ring bearer. Hellooooo cuties! xo The entire space was absolutely beautiful, but what they all did to the reception area was incredible. The property is a dream come true for a wedding and the decor that Aimee and her family and friends put together was absolutely stunning.
I loved all the sweet details.I spy some of my Half Moon Bay engagement photos! Sweetest sweetheart table.
Grand entrance! Family and friends had some beautiful and meaningful toasts for these two. Many wonderful wishes were made for a happy marriage and life together and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
I loved how magical the venue got in the evening. Those twinkle lights were an exceptional touch.
As the sun was coming down, the light got soft and I snuck Aimee and Ryan away for some more photos. With the chance to explore a different part of the beautiful property and with the added fun of Aimee’s second dress for the evening, I love these portraits. I am so glad we took the time to capture extra images at this time in the day!
Another few of the beautiful venue.
Their three sweet cakes. It was so fun to see how they separated the layers and created three unique cakes. Such a perfect day and lovely evening. Aimee and Ryan, it was an honor to celebrate your big day with you two and your families. I am excited to call you not just clients but also friends. Here’s wishing you all the love and happiness of a lifetime together. Stay in touch! xo
