I had such a blast photographing Allison’s Berkeley Graduation photos this week. We met up on campus and spent some time wandering around. Allison knew she wanted some portraits with the Campanile, but other than that, we just wanted to get some lovely portraits of her to commemorate her graduation from Cal. It was so much fun.
We started with some shots of her with her cap and gown. I love how official she looks in these. That’s it; the thesis is in and graduation is almost here!
How stunning is that dress?! It’s Calvin Klein from Macy’s and I absolutely love it. The neckline is incredible and I love the line on the side – so flattering.
This portrait in front of California Hall is one of my favorites from the whole session. The light was perfect and she looks so official.
But these sort of relaxed and sort of professional photos also make me really happy. Allison, you are beautiful!
I also love her white heels with the bright coral dress. And her lipstick matches exactly – I swear that is so much harder to do than it seems!
And there’s our lovely shot with the Campanile. The clouds started roll in during our session and I love how dramatic this campus icon looks against the grey of the clouds. So good.
But not so grey that we couldn’t get some lovely golden sunshine-y shots with it, too!
So classic. Love these photos of you, Allison!
After the Campanile, we headed up to the Hearst Mining Circle, which is generally assumed to be the prettiest part of a very pretty campus and I adore these photos from in front of it.
Looking lovely! xo
I’d actually never photographed inside of the building, but the inside is absolutely beautiful, too, and I was so excited when Allison suggested we go indoors. (Plus, it was way warmer!)
They don’t use this entry way for much, but the whole place, with the round skylights and arches and balconies is absolutely incredible. I wish all buildings were designed and built with this kind of beauty in mind.
Thank you so much for a wonderful graduation portrait session yesterday, Allison! I had a ton of fun with you and wish you all the best on the job interview(s) and future plans! xo
