Ahhh! This Berkeley Jewish wedding might have been one of my favorites ever ever. Alex and Helena were SO sweet and their family and friends the kindest and most wonderful people to have around. They’re expecting their baby any day now (she was 7.5 months at their wedding!) and the celebration was just as much a sweet celebration of their love as a couple as it was of their love as a family!
It was so wonderful to see so many loved ones shower the baby in love and happiness and good wishes and if I’ve ever imagined a time in life when one would want everybody they love supporting them, it’s when they’re about to have a child. Obviously, H&A will have no shortage of love for their new little family and lots of support as they navigate life as a pair, officially married, and as parents. What a time to be alive. <3
Congrats again, you two! Thanks for having me along to document and celebrate such a special day with you both.
Oh! p.s. I should add that you need to scroll to the end to see photos of their Horah. Omg, so fun and so funny! Since Alex is very tall and bound to be quite heavy and since Helena was essentially two people, these two planned to just pretend with the chair portion of this tradition… in the end Alex’s friends decided it was necessary to get him in the air for at least a quick minute and honestly, it was so good and so fun and I am so glad they did. Helena being danced in the chair on the ground also makes me happy… no need to be airborne for this to be a super fun one. xx
