Chateau St. Jean Wedding
Kristen and Brad’s Chateau St. Jean wedding in Sonoma, California was SUCH a dream to be a part of. Everything from the way they interact with each other to their friends and families to their beautiful location and absolutely stunning details was exactly the kind of wedding that makes your heart happy.
I had the absolute pleasure of working on this wedding with Jenna Marie. Thank you so much for having me along!
We started with the girls, getting ready.
Kristen’s dress was SO pretty. I love it here with all of the ivy covered walls and the pretty tree.
Such pretty details, too!
As the girls finished getting ready, I headed over to see the guys, where they were drinking wine and putting on their tuxes.
Kristen and Brad opted for a first look so that they could see each other before the ceremony to say hello, revel in the excitement of the day, and get their family and wedding party photos all done with. These moments from the start of the morning make me so happy. :)
Kristen’s flowers were SO beautiful! Loved these blooms.
And with her stunning diamond? Swoon!
I loved the bridesmaids’ blooms too. So pretty with their blush bouquets!
The ceremony site, overlooking the vineyard, was the perfect spot to say their vows.
They kept it simple, letting the vines, the mountains, and some simple bouquets be all of the decor.
It was a warm day, so wooden fans helped guests stay cool during the ceremony.
This was the view looking back at the chateau while guests sat for the ceremony.
Kristen walking down the aisle with her daddy. <3
The happy couple, getting ready to say their vows to each other.
Yay! They’re married!
Cocktail hour in the garden was such a beautiful affair. Live music, champagne, garden vibes. Yes, please.
Then it was time to head to dinner! The reception tables were looking perfect and stunning. I love them all laid out below the chateau like this. So lovely.
How cute is their cake?! Love the topper.
First dance! So pretty.
These two are just so cute together.
As guests enjoyed the salad course, we snuck off into the vineyards to get some beautiful golden hour sunset portraits of these two. I loved the way the light was coming through the tree here.
Then we headed into the vineyards, where the light continued to be golden and beautiful and Kristen and Brad continued to be adorable and beautiful and so in love.
Cuties!
Gorgeous!
These hazy photos make me feel feels, too, so I love them.
We headed through the Chateau to the front garden as well for some photos near the hedges and along the gravel pathways, among the roses.
And then it was time to head back to dinner!
Such a dreamy situation! Loved this location and everything about how beautiful it was this evening.
The toasts were touching, meaningful, and sweet.
At the end of the toasts, Kristen stood up and dedicated her wedding bouquet to her mother. Instead of doing a bouquet toss, she wanted to thank her mom for everything she has done in her life and everything she means to her. It was the sweetest moment and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. <3
The dessert table looking sweet and delicious! Yum!
This Lagavulin groom’s cake was SO funny and SUCH a hit! haha. Because it’s a winery, they weren’t allowed to have anything for their wedding besides the wine from Chateau St. Jean. Brad loves Lagavulin, so Kristen wanted to make sure he had it at their wedding… even if it was just in cake form. So fun and funny. Great idea and great moment.
Cutting the “real” cake!
How beautiful is the fog flowing in over the mountains? This part of California is SO beautiful and absolutely one of my favorite areas.
The dreamy Chateau at night. Wow!
A dance with her daddy. <3
And then breaking it down on the dance floor!
Kristen and Brad, thank you both so so much for having me along to celebrate and document your Chateau St Jean wedding. It was such a pleasure and I wish you the best for a happy life together full of fun! xx
