I’ve been in a scarf mood, recently. I’ve also been in a DIY mood recently. Combined, you see me knitting a lot of scarves. And you know what? I’m okay with that. I want to wear cute, warm things this fall and winter and I’m stoked to be dressing up my favorite outfits with a nice cowl around my neck. I think these circle scarves are classier than regular ones – no wrapping your neck in piles of yarn and no hanging ends to fiddle with in an attempt to properly tie a scarf. Plus, I like to add in a little twist to my circle scarves, which means you just slip it over your head and you’re good to go.

This scarf “recipe” is super easy – you’ll be rocking your newest creation in no time! :)

Let me know how it goes! :)

How to Make this Chunky Winter Scarf

Yarn – Debbie Bliss Donegal Luxury Tweed Chunky, Light Blue

Needles – I used one size 10 and one size 13 (US). If I were making this again, I would use both sized 10!

Recipe – 24 stitches wide. Knit every row. Knit until you have enough yarn to knit one more row (or shorter, if you want it shorter). Twist the scarf once or twice. Knit together the first row and current/last row, by matching up your start stitches and your recent stitches and knitting both loops as one. Complete or bind off the scarf as you go so that by the time you have finished knitting both ends together your scarf is also complete. :)

Here is a good video tutorial on how to bind off and complete your scarf. I recommend knitting the first row in to the last row at the same time as you do this bind off step; maybe one day I’ll make a video… haha. ;)
