This sweet Half Moon Bay elopement was *such* a treat. Leah and Tyler have been dating since high school (and I went to high school with them!) and they celebrated their ten year anniversary with a sweet little family only wedding in the redwoods, personal vows read to each other expressing their love and thankfulness for the last ten years and the next, and a fun afternoon appreciating the beauty of the coast and each other.
We spent the first part of their elopement in the redwoods, where Leah walked down the “aisle” (a gorgeous dirt trail through the redwoods) on the arms of her mom and dad. The light streamed through the trees just right, their good friend performed the ceremony, and there was lots of sweetness and happiness all around. We took some photos in the redwoods – they climbed some tree trunks to cross the river in their wedding clothes and everything! – some near the ferns, some where they just looked up and enjoyed the whole place and the feeling and the day.
Then we headed to the marsh and the coast. There was an epic eucalyptus tree, an incredible view of the ocean, and an epic sunset where the light broke through the trees in streams. Everything was wonderful and it couldn’t have worked out better.
I couldn’t have been happier to be a part of this day and get to take photos of these two relaxed, wonderful, kind humans in such an incredible place; we got lucky with the sunshine in the redwoods & the light coming through the clouds on the coast. What a day. xx
