Courtney and Alan’s Natural Bridges elopement was a dream. We met on the beach, on a foggy, blustery day and they said their vows on the cliff. Natural Bridges State Beach in Santa Cruz is a stunning location, and with the big waves and beach almost all to ourselves, it was a dream spot to get married. My oh my, being a Santa Cruz wedding photographer is one of the best jobs!
I loved seeing them say their vows with the ocean crashing right behind them. It cannot get more picturesque than this!
Wow.
The ceremony was short, intimate, and personal, full of sweet moments.
What an amazing place for a first kiss!
Courtney’s parents were in attendance, so we grabbed some sweet portraits of her family.
And also some frames with her parents and her new husband. Alan, you’re part of the family now!
Courtney’s flowers were absolutely beautiful. Bright and full of blooms, they were the perfect thing to contrast the pretty, grey day.
Courtney had her grandmother’s handkerchief on her bouquet as her “something old.”
I loved the simple, beautiful belt on her dress. It added some lovely sparkle.
The bracelet, her grandmother’s, served as her “something blue.” I loved the heirlooms that she incorporated into the day.
And helloooo gorgeous! Isn’t Courtney’s engagement ring stunning!? Alan picked it out and designed it himself and it was just what Courtney wanted. Personal, vintage, and beautiful. I love it so much!
This ring, which she wore on her other hand, is an heirloom also from her grandmother. This pretty piece served as her “something borrowed.”
After the ceremony, we headed onto the beach and into the trees nearby to commemorate the day with some lovely photos. The background was beautiful and dramatic. Courtney’s lace dress complimented the waves and the ocean beautifully and also looked wonderful on her. They’ll be having another ceremony in Ireland, where Alan’s family is, and I know she can’t wait to wear the dress again. Lucky girl!
Of course, Alan looked pretty dapper himself!
Stunning!
There are so many moments and photos from this afternoon that I love. Courtney and Alan, thank you for having me at your wedding. I loved watching you say your vows on the cliff overlooking one of the most fiery, beautiful oceans I’ve seen and I loved capturing your love in the trees and on the beach afterwards. I hope you both had a wonderful day and I wish you all the best for a long and happy marriage! xx
