Peter and I met up in San Francisco for a casual headshot and portrait session. He needed a set of images to update social media, LinkedIn, and more. Plus, it’s always good to have a few photos of yourself on hand; you’ll never know when you need them!
That being said, he didn’t want anything too corporate. Yes, he’d update professional sites, but he also wanted the shots just for, well, life.
We started in San Francisco at The Mill. Right on Divisadero in the 700 block, this coffee shop is quintessential hipster SF. And it’s really really beautiful.
I love these portraits that we snapped up against the shelving unit. Simple and urban without too much noise.
While Peter headed to change, I grabbed a few more shots of the café. I can never get over the way everything looks in here – it’s so well designed and presented.
Also, that lighting fixture is incredible.
Peter is exceptionally stylish, so I made sure to capture a few detail shots of his outfit.
Also a few paparazzi style fashion shots of him. This one, in black and white, is a favorite.
Okay, but also the next three, too.
We wanted to shoot inside the gardens, but by the time we arrived, the deYoung was already shutting down. That’s okay! We got what we needed with the beautiful urban building that all the art is housed in. Love the metal walls, with tons of texture.
I have so many I love from this session, but here’s another favorite, if I had to pick my top choices.
We got a bit more golden light as the sun headed down beneath the trees. There was also a man playing the piano near the fountains – a headshot session with a soundtrack.
And there we go! A stylish, relaxed, manly headshot session in San Francisco. Love the way these turned out; thank you for working with me, Peter!
