This wedding was SO much fun. Seriously. Seth & Julie were so happy & relaxed & the whole day was set by that happy tone. I loved shooting at the Oakland Temple, which is large & white & very pretty. I loved that they were already married by the time we started, which made for a fun day where they could see each other the rest of the afternoon & were feeling very relaxed by the time they said their vows in front of friends & family. The vows, written by Seth & Julie were lovely & I teared up just listening.
If you’re thinking of a wedding in the Bay Area, definitely check out the Falkirk Mansion. It was beautiful! Intimate backyard ceremony, sweet rose filled garden, ceremony under a large oak tree… really the whole nine yards.
I also couldn’t get enough of the house. It was an absolutely perfect reception location! Seriously. Awesome interior with lots of character. Fantastic deck in the back that looked out on a wonderful garden. They had the tree lit up with twinkle lights & it was all very magical.
Actually, one of my absolute favorite parts of this day was the toasts. Everybody crowded into the wonderful old living room in the middle of the mansion. There was a grand piano in the corner & Julie & Seth sat on this great old love seat with their champagne (sparkling cider, actually). The toasts were so heartfelt & I just loved the way it felt, everybody standing around, showering love. Then they cut the cake & everybody danced & it was a grand evening.
If you want to check out their gorgeous engagement session which was shot in Half Moon Bay, you can see it here. It’s lovely, especially if you love the beach. :)
That’s all! Enjoy! xo
