UC Berkeley Engagement Photos

I had such a wonderful time taking Nick and Elise’s UC Berkeley Engagement photos. These two are so sweet together (they’ve been dating for 8 years, since they were 15!) and it’s so clear that they live happy, fulfilling lives together.

We met up at the UC Berkeley campus where Nick is doing his PhD research. Elise is at Stanford working on hers, so it was wonderful to share time with them as they met up for some afternoon sun, pretty light, and a wander around campus. That being said, because it’s their engagement session, we didn’t want too much of a campus feel to these photos, so we focused instead on how beautiful the natural parts of Cal really are.

The weather was perfect and the light was lovely. This secluded little bench was the perfect place to start.

How cute are these two?! Love these quite moments together.

Elise’s beautiful engagement ring. I love this shot of it next to the pretty spring blossom.

We were so lucky with the spring blossoms everywhere on campus.

Their outfits went perfectly together! I love that they fit and make sense, but aren’t too matching. Aren’t they lovely together?

Nick and Elise are so sweet together. I love these sweet moments with a simple background.

These images, with the soft light, pretty location, and sweet emotions, are some of my favorites from the whole session.

Nick and Elise specifically requested this beautiful tree as a location for their photographs. I am so glad they did!

A few with the palm fronds. I love this spot.

For the next few I “hid” in the red Japanese maple tree. I love the soft red colors that come from this pretty tree. It adds so much to the images!

But they’re equally sweet in black and white, I think!

It’s so simple when the one you love the most makes you laugh.

And a few final snuggles on the bench as the light went down.
