Waterbar Wedding Reception
I am SO in love with Sarah and Chris’ Waterbar wedding reception after their San Francisco City Hall wedding. I always love weddings in San Francisco’s prettiest building, but this one is one for the books. These two invited their 40 ;) closest friends to a beautiful ceremony in the historic building followed by a dreamy reception at San Fracisco’s Waterbar, complete with a stunning view of the San Francisco Bay Bridge (SF’s “other” beautiful bridge). I absolutely love the images from this day and I couldn’t be happier that these two had me along to celebrate and document their love.
Hugs and smiles as everybody is arriving, full of anticipation and excitement.
Waiting for their appointment.
And then heading in to check in and get ready to sign the license.
All smiles as they wait to be called in!
Here’s a favorite waiting image. Lovely!
Finally! Their number is called and they head in to meet their officiant and get the documents ready to go!
Here she is, telling them what’s going to happen and confessing to them that they are the very last ceremony on the Friday afternoon! Yay!
Holding hands as it becomes almost official!
After the documents and before the ceremony: heading up to the rotunda and seeing everybody they love and know there waiting for them.
In the moments before the ceremony. All smiles.
Sunlight streaming in the beautiful building and lighting up the overhead arches.
And the ceremony! This is really happening.
Listening to their officiant and getting ready to vow their lives together and for each other.
So much emotion. <3
And holding hands, able to look into each other’s faces and squeeze your honeys fingers. <3
And finally the kiss! It’s official! Happily married and full of joy.
Thankful to be here together, surrounded by loved ones.
And in such a gorgeous place, too?! Love it.
After the ceremony, a quick portrait of the newlyweds (!!!) and then a variety of family photos. Love these, although I like to keep the images simple and clean. (But meaningful!)
Off into the corridors of San Francisco City Hall for some stunning portraits of just the new Mr. & Mrs.! My favorite part of the day. <3
So many happy smiles.
A couple of my favorites.
And this romantic image. Isn’t Sarah’s dress absolutely stunning?! I’m totally obsessed with it and absolutely fell in love with the way it moved throughout the afternoon and evening. This image of the two of them heading up the stairs makes my heart pitter patter.
And then a kiss and a twirl in the rotunda. So lovely.
Sarah’s gorgeous wedding bouquet. Love these beautiful blooms!
And the back of that dress!? Holyyy.
Of course, a few frames of her handsome groom.
This stoic image is my favorite.
And an image of their rings – perfectly lit and placed on her bouquet.
After the ceremony and portraits at San Francisco City Hall, we headed to Waterbar on the Embarcadero for a relaxed reception. The view of the Bay Bridge is stunning and paired with their yummy cocktails, you just can’t go wrong.
They rented a private room for their reception, but I also love this overlook of the bar. Come here for oysters and a drink!
Beautiful.
The view from the reception – jaw dropping and moody as the fog rolled in.
These two looking happy and in love, in a stunning location. Yay!
A candid moment – so happy they spent all evening hanging out with their friends and family together. <3
Favorite shot! Swoon!
Sarah’s dress sparkled amazingly at night in the glow of the city lights and the light show on the Bay Bridge.
Chris and Sarah, thank you both so much for having me along to document and celebrate your wedding. It was such an honor and a pleasure to share this afternoon and evening with you and your friends and family. Thank you.
