Rachel and David’s Mount Tamalpais engagement photos (followed by their Muir Beach engagement photos… haha) were SO much fun. We worked together to create beautiful images on a day that threatened rain… but in the end we decided to go through with the session anyways and I am so so glad we did. The photos we created together make my heart happy… it’s a session I wont forget with two really sweet and really awesome people! I can’t wait for your wedding this summer (actually… very very soon)!

Of course, we had to start this lovely engagement photo session with a look at Rachel’s beautiful engagement ring. I looooved her bling and I love it even more against the stunning detail of the log. So pretty!
And on the green moss? Love!
This part of Mount Tam was soooo green. With all the rain and weather we’d been having, it was absolutely showing off in the forest here. The spanish moss and evergreen trees and undergrowth and, well, everything, made this little outdoor photographer’s heart happy.
This is one of my favorites – them heading up into the trees to explore! It was sooo green and beautiful.
I mean, come ON. How cute are these two?!
After some time in the woods, we headed up to the top of Mount Tamalapais. It was still a cloudy/rainy day, but the view was insanely gorgeous, especially with all of the clouds and the view stretching out below us.
Love love love!
This shot is one of my favorites!
Best friends. <3
Isn’t this tree insane? I loved shooting under it SO MUCH. Wow.
The wind was such a treat to play with. I adore how it blew Rachel’s hair!
Here’s another favorite: Rachel and David being small with a stunning tree! I love this one.
Once we finished on Mount Tamalpais, we headed down to Muir Beach to get some pretty shots on the sand. It had actually started raining by the time we got there – lightly and on and off, but still rain. These two were total troopers, hanging out in sand and the mud, walking around, snuggling and looking cute. The blanket was an accidental prop – they pulled it out of their car because it got cold with the rain. And I just love how it looks, especially since it was completely natural and totally them to have it in their car.
I mean, come ON. So so good! <3
Adorable.
These blurry on purpose ones make my heart happy.
And, of course, a few without our cute little blanket! haha.
Obsessed with these two and how their engagement photos turned out!
Plus the mini surfer? Too perfect.
Rachel and David, I had SUCH a blast with you two on your engagement session. I loved hanging out, hiking around, talking about weddings and cooking and birthday adventures. I absolutely cannot wait to celebrate your wedding with you both! XO
